We immerse ourselves into the yoga/health-focussed culture of the hippie town of Ubud. Top off with endless flowers, local ceremonies and green rice fields and you have yourself a true paradise.

Spend a few days in each of these smaller cities where surfing and the font "Lobster" is everywhere to be found. We bask in the lighthearted surfers' community and Alex almost drowns... No more surfing.
Now this is Bali! We scooter around to explore the secret, abandoned and hidden beaches of the no-mans-land in southern Bali. Tanning underneath ship wrecks, we almost feel like we're in "The Beach".
We for once let ourselves be let on the tourist track by a bike-cab which leads us to a water temple, the sultans palace, a silver factory and the like. We get off and play with local kids in the cute outskirts instead.
We experience the rain season up close and live right next to the lovely local quarter. The highlight, however, is the magical Mount Bromo featuring Tele Tubbies Hills and an active volcano!
